Road marking norms by country

The document each country's road markings come from, a link to the regulator, and the dimensions CapCad draws from it — read straight out of the drawing engine, so this page and the software always agree.

道路標識、区画線及び道路標示に関する命令
Order No. 3 · 1960
Every sign number and every marking dimension. Its annexed tables carry the widths as figures, and its own notes declare the hatched-area symbol illustrative, so no hatch angle is prescribed in law.

The practical cadences by road class, the rule that a solid centre line begins at six metres of one-side width, and the overtaking sight distances below which the yellow prohibition line is laid.
道路交通法 and 道路構造令
Government of Japan · 1960 and 1970
Article 17 fixes the left-hand side of travel and makes crossing right to overtake lawful only where no marking forbids it, which is what the yellow line does. The structure ordinance carries sight distance by design speed.
