Distance markers along a road in one pass, with a live preview. Pick the alignment or edge, and the markers land every 10 units, rotated to face the road, before you accept anything.
- Ready to go. The Divider Assistant opens with the marker block selected, spacing 10, rotation 270Β° and offset 0. Change any of them if your standard differs.
- Single or double marker. Two blocks are offered, one for each side of the road or a two-faced marker.
- Everything the Divider offers. Start offset, lateral offset, include the ends, a list of stations, presets and the group tag for later reselection all work exactly as in the Divider Assistant.
What it does
Distance Marker opens the Divider Assistant already set up for inserting distance-marker blocks along a path. The command adds the blocks DISTANCE_MARKER and DISTANCE_MARKER_DOUBLE to the block list, tints the block box light blue so you can see the form is in marker mode, and fills in:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Output | Block |
| Block | DISTANCE_MARKER |
| Segments length | 10 |
| Offset from line | 0 |
| Angle add | 270 |
| Scale | 1 |
From there the form behaves exactly as described on the Divider Assistant page: pick the path, watch the preview, adjust, accept.
Workflow
- Run
CAPCAD_MARKING_DISTANCE_MARKER. - Click Select path and pick the alignment or edge line, near the end you want to start from.
- Choose
DISTANCE_MARKERorDISTANCE_MARKER_DOUBLEin the block box. - Set the spacing (10 by default), an initial extent if the first marker must not sit at the start, and an offset if the markers go beside the line rather than on it.
- Click Accept when the preview is right.
Notes
- The two marker blocks are loaded from the CapCad library on first use if the drawing does not have them. If neither is found, the form falls back to points and says so.
- The 270Β° rotation is added on top of the path direction when Rotate along path is on, so the marker faces across the road. Turn Rotate along path off to keep a fixed rotation.
- Presets saved in the Divider Assistant are available here too, since it is the same form.
