The project's quantities in view while you draw. This is not a rough preview: the panel runs the same engines that produce the Reports spreadsheets, so the area it shows is the area that goes into the bill.
- Four domains in one window. Horizontal signage, vertical signage, guardrails and road studs, switched from the title.
- Three metrics per domain. Square metre, linear metre and count — whichever make sense for each.
- Scoped by chainage. Limit the quantities to a stretch of the project alignment and see that lot's figures.
- From the number to the drawing. Click a type's slice and the markings of that type are selected; isolate them, zoom to them, or open the item-by-item list.
- It says when the sum is incomplete. Markings without a constant width have no area: the footer counts how many, instead of quietly showing a smaller total.
- It follows the editing. Drew, erased, undone: the panel rebuilds itself without holding up the CAD.
What it does
On every reading the panel assembles the whole of model space and puts it through the same listings Reports use to generate the spreadsheets:

Nothing is recomputed on the panel's own account: it aggregates what the listings returned, so the donut and the spreadsheet can never disagree.
Like CapCad's other two palettes, this one does not write to the drawing. What it does is select, isolate and zoom, through the native commands.
This window is not shown captured on this page. It is a native palette, not a form. The Portuguese edition of this page carries a figure of the donut drawn by the panel's own engine; it is left off here because its slice labels are the marking codes of one particular country, which say nothing to a reader on another profile. On your own drawing the labels are the codes of the norm of your active country profile.

The chainage scope
The scope button opens a small panel with Start km and End km and two buttons: Apply and Whole drawing.
With a range applied, each domain is filtered the way that makes sense for it:
- the longitudinal markings are cut by the alignment stretch;
- the manual-painting groups come in or out by the group's centroid;
- the loose items and the arrows and legends, by the insertion point or the midpoint;
- the signs, by their position along the alignment.
The scope depends on the project alignment. With no alignment, the range is ignored and the footer says scope ignored: project has no alignment. With a scope active, the footer opens with km 12.4–18.9 (alignment-name) · ….
Both fields accept a comma or a dot as the decimal separator, and the order does not matter — the smaller of the two is taken as the start. Leaving one of them blank is the same as Whole drawing.
The options menu

The card's title is the domain selector: click it and choose.

The metric tabs on the right (m², m, un) appear and disappear with the domain: vertical has no m, and guardrails and studs have no m².

Switching metric does not re-read the drawing: all four aggregations are computed in the same pass.
The card
Chart — the donut and the legend. Each row carries the colour, the label, the formatted value (1,234.5 m², 1,234.5 m, 1,234 un) and the percentage. Clicking a slice or a legend row selects in the drawing the entities under that label and writes N × <label> selected on the footer; clicking again clears it. The centre of the donut shows the chosen value and label.
List — the item-by-item listing, with columns of its own per domain, a Search… field and the active filter chip. The cell values come formatted in the same formats as the printed spreadsheet. Clicking a row selects and frames the entity.
The list column headers are Portuguese in every language; they are quoted here as the software shows them, with the English meaning beside each:

The search is case-insensitive, over the active domain's text columns plus the Handle.
The footer
The footer summarises the whole pass, not only the domain in view:

And it adds the warnings that change how the numbers should be read:
· N without width (blank m²)— markings whose polyline has no constant width. They count towards the length, but have no area: the m² total is smaller than the drawing suggests, and this warning is what says why.· scope ignored: project has no alignment— a km range was asked for, but there is no alignment to measure it against.
Remembered between sessions
- The CAD palette keeps its position, size and docking.
- The chart colour palette and the interface theme are written to the CapCad configuration and apply to every panel.
- Not saved: the domain, the metric, the km scope, Auto refresh, Studs: +1 per stretch methodology, the chosen type and the search text. All of these return to their defaults each session.
Notes
- This command has no ribbon button in this version. Type the name, or make a shortcut.
- Only model space is read. Unlike the Entity panels, there is no option to include the layouts here — the quantity is the project's, not the sheet's.
- Arrows and legends only come out as a count. Turning each block into painted area is not available in this version: the horizontal domain has the un metric, but the blocks do not add up in m².
- A manual-painting group's row has no Handle. The identifier that row carries is the group's, not an entity's, and the panel deliberately does not try to resolve it: only loose-item rows are clickable.
- Stretches with no devices stay out of the Road Studs domain. The listing includes markings without devices; the panel counts devices, so it discards those rows. One stretch fewer here does not mean one stretch fewer in the spreadsheet.
- The isolation is the CAD's. Closing the palette does not undo it; use Show all.
- A re-read runs the real listings. On a large drawing, each refresh costs what a report pass costs. If the panel gets heavy during intensive editing, turn Auto refresh off or hide the palette — hidden, it does not recompute.
- To export, use Reports. The panel produces no file: it is the quick reading, not the deliverable.
- AutoCAD only. The command is not registered on the other CADs.
